Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate

Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate is a white, crystalline chemical compound that consists of zinc, sulfur, oxygen, and water molecules. Its chemical formula is ZnSO4·H2O. It is commonly referred to as a monohydrate because it contains one molecule of water (H2O) per molecule of zinc sulfate (ZnSO4). It is highly soluble in water, which allows for easy absorption by plants when applied to the soil or used as a foliar spray.

Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate is a granulated/crystalline white solid that is an important fertiliser source and animal feed source of zinc and sulfur. The granular product is suitable for application direct to the soil either alone or in multi-nutrient blends, e.g. for row crops, tree crops and sugarcane.

It can be used in a variety of industrial applications such as controlling moss growth, in brewing, as an electrolyte in electroplating and as a coagulant in the production of rayon.
