Calcium Sulfate (Plaster/ gypsum/ anhydrite)

Calcium sulfate is universally added to cement to control the rapid ‘flash set’ and the initial rate of reaction. Bisley supplies calcium sulfate in a number of forms: anhydrite, natural or synthetic and hemihydrate, alpha or beta. All forms have chemical differences, which changes the properties of the calcium sulfate itself, and therefore the final concrete product.
