Calcium Chloride

Calcium chloride is a white crystalline solid that is highly water soluble. When dissolved in water it becomes a good source of “free” calcium and chloride ions which is desirable for a wide range of applications. It can be obtained from purification of brine or derived from limestone as a by-product of the Solvay process.

Calcium chloride is used as an accelerator for oil & gas well cementing systems and shotcrete Portland cement systems. It is used in de-icing, wastewater treatment, plastic production, dehumidifiers, road surfacing dust control and to absorb moisture.
