Styrene Acrylic Emulsions

Styrene Acrylic Emulsions are specialised aqueous acrylic/styrene polymer emulsions that often eliminate the need for a coalescent agent in paint formulations. They offer outstanding resistance to water, photodegradation, and abrasion, as well as stability in freezing conditions and as a thickener. Bisley’s range of Styrene Acrylic Emulsions are free from plasticisers and alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO), lowering environmental and health concerns, and providing less regulatory compliance. These emulsions serve as universal binders suitable for various applications such as outdoor and indoor paints, textured wall/roof paints, plasters, tile adhesives, and moisture barrier coatings.

Moreover, Styrene Acrylic Emulsions enhance the properties of cement mortar, providing excellent waterproofing, scrub resistance, and ageing resistance. They are recommended particularly for exterior and interior coatings, flexible roof coatings, and sealants.
