Soluble Borate

Boron is almost exclusively found in the environment as boron-oxygen compounds commonly referred to as borates. Boron application leads to an increase in tracheid length, lumen diameter, and cell wall thickness. It also fosters apical dominance, directing growth away from branches and towards the butt log. This results in greater timber yield, a higher percentage of clear wood recovery, and decreased pruning expenses.

Disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (DOT) is a unique borate with 100% water solubility and the ability to provide the highest permissible concentration of boron in liquid formulations.  

DOT is compatible with other fertilisers like UAN or multi-nutrient blend.  Relatively small quantities are needed to correct boron deficiencies making it an economical choice.  DOT is not degradable, has a low potential for bioaccumulation and importantly, it’s easy to apply and easy to clean as it leaves no residues.
